Fallen Temple of Ahn'kahet.

The Fallen Temple of Ahn'kahet is a large nerubian temple in Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom. Visible from much of the dungeon, the temple is accessed by a web bridge from the Desecrated Altar and leads via another web bridge to the dungeon's exit portal. The area has been taken over by Herald Volazj and several Forgotten Ones. After Volazj's defeat, Seer Ixit and their Azjol-anak Sorcerers and Warriors move in, reclaim the area, and begin trying to reactivate its wards and hatch a pulsating giant cocoon (with unknown contents) suspended from the ceiling.[1]

Speculation

This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

Considering the nerubians' origin and that this is where the faceless ones chose to congregate, the Fallen Temple was likely once dedicated to the worship of Yogg-Saron.
