  • Use: Coats a weapon with poison that lasts for 30 minutes.
    Each strike has a 30% chance of poisoning the enemy, slowing their movement speed by 50% for 12 sec.
  • Classes: Rogue
  • Requires Level 20
  • Sell Price: 13c

Crippling Poison is a rogue poison, available from poison vendors for 70c. Every time the rogue hits with the poisoned weapon, there is a 70% chance of the victim being slowed for 12 seconds.

Crafting

Prior to Wrath of the Lich King, Crippling Poison was crafted by rogues:

Notes

  • Crippling Poison has a PvP duration of 8 seconds.

Patch changes

  • Mists-Logo-Small.png Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Removed. Poisons are now Spellbook abilities that affect both weapons at once instead of crafted items.
  • Cata-Logo-Small.png Patch 4.0.6 (2011-02-08): Now has a PvP duration of 8 seconds.
  • Wrath-Logo-Small.png Hotfix (2009-02-18): Crippling Poison now has a PvP duration of 10 seconds.
  • Wrath-Logo-Small.png Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Reduced to 1 rank, slowing movement by 70%.
  • Bc icon.gif Patch 2.3.0 (2007-11-13): All poisons will now enchant the weapon for 1 hour, increased from 30 minutes.
  • WoW Icon update.png Patch 1.11.0 (2006-06-19): Stacks up to 20.
