- Crend is a tribute to longtime World of Warcraft machinima creator wowcrendor and his two video series "Fishing with Crendor" and "Pointless Top 10". Wowcrendor always begins the videos in the latter series with the statement "Inside pointless things are treasure", and he ends most of his videos by saying "Okay? Okay. See ya!", both of which are referenced in Crend's dialogue.
