  • You deal 125% weapon damage, refreshing the current Sting on your target and triggering an effect:

    Serpent Sting - Instantly deals 40% of the damage done by your Serpent Sting.

    Viper Sting - Instantly restores mana to you equal to 60% of the total amount drained by your Viper Sting.

    Scorpid Sting - Attempts to Disarm the target for 10 sec. This effect cannot occur more than once per 1 minute.

Retail
  • Warlords of Draenor Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Chimera Shot has been renamed to [Chimaera Shot] and has been redesigned.
  • Mists of Pandaria Hotfix (2013-09-23): Chimera Shot's damage has been increased by 50%.
  • Mists of Pandaria Patch 5.2.0 (2013-03-05): Chimera Shot now deals 25% more damage and heals the Hunter for 5% (was 3%) of their total health.
  • Mists of Pandaria Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Now costs 45 Focus, down from 50. Healing done reduced from 5% to 3%. Cooldown reduced from 10 to 9 sec.
  • Cataclysm Hotfix (2010-10-19): Increased the damage of the signature abilities (such as Chimera Shot) by 15-25%.
  • Cataclysm Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Moved to tier 7 (was tier 11) and redesigned: An instant shot that causes ranged weapon Nature damage plus, refreshing the duration of your Serpent Sting and healing you for 5% of your total health.
    Old: You deal 125% weapon damage, refreshing the current Sting on your target and triggering an effect:
    [Serpent Sting] - Instantly deals 40% of the damage done by your Serpent Sting.
    [Viper Sting] - Instantly restores mana to you equal to 60% of the total amount drained by your Viper Sting.

  • Wrath of the Lich King Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): Mana cost reduced from 16% to 12%.
  • Wrath of the Lich King Patch 3.0.8 (2009-01-20): The secondary effects of this shot will now still be triggered even when the target dies from the ability's damage.
  • Wrath of the Lich King Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Added.
