Chickens are neutral critters found in many areas of Azeroth. They are particularly numerous near human settlements in the Elwynn Forest, Westfall, and Duskwood. They can be captured for pet battles.

Quests
If a player targets a chicken and uses the emote "/chicken" numerous times, the chicken may eventually turn into friendly and will offer the easter egg quest 
[1-70] CLUCK!
. It works only on chicken critter with ID of 620.
