His surname Montague follows along with the bankers in the Undercity; Ophelia Montague, Mortimer Montague, William Montague and Randolph Montague, taking names from Shakespeare's works. It's possible that they are a family of bankers, with Calvin being the "black sheep" that became a rogue.
