Box of Fresh Pies
The subject of this article was removed in patch 3.3.0 but remains in World of Warcraft: Classic.
|
- Box of Fresh Pies
- Use: Combines a Box of Fresh Pies, an Orgrimmar Pledge Collection and a Package of Cards into an Orgrimmar Gift Collection.
- Duration: 10,080 min (real time)
A Box of Fresh Pies is a package of five [Freshly Baked Pies] pledge gifts, and is the first hierarchical combining of the pledge items given out by various Orgrimmar NPCs during the Love is in the Air seasonal event.
All of the Love is in the Air pledge gift packages are non-functional as regards their name and picture. You cannot obtain a pie from a Box of Fresh Pies.
Source
If you have five or more [Freshly Baked Pies] in your inventory, right clicking on any of them will consume five and create a Box of Fresh Pies.
Ingredient
A Box of Fresh Pies is one of three Orgrimmar pledge gift packages which are the ingredients of the [Orgrimmar Gift Collection].
Notes
Be careful, the Freshly Baked Pies pledge item stacks 20 high, but the Box of Fresh Pies package item does not stack at all.
This is a conjured item. It cannot be sold at the Auction House, mailed nor put in a guild bank tab, but it can be given, sold, or traded with other player characters using the trade window. Unfortunately, that means you cannot pass these directly to an alt on the same account.
This item is primarily useful during Love is in the Air and the seven day duration of the item is longer than the event, so is not a handicap. It does prevent you from saving these for the following year.
Trivia
Using pies as the pledge gift from non-guard NPCs in Orgrimmar may be a nod toward the Dungeons & Dragons spoof adventure module Orc and Pie, (renamed The Orc and the Pie), by Monte Cook, claimed to be "The World's Shortest (Yet Technically Complete) Adventure".
