Beren's Peril once controlled by the undead.

Beren's Peril is located in Silverpine Forest due southwest of Ambermill, between the main road and the side-road coming from Ambermill in the hills. The path leading up to it starts at [60, 75].

Before the coming of the plague, this cave was home to creatures of the forest, and was sometimes used as a retreat for the wizards of Dalaran. When the Scourge invaded Lordaeron, however, the cave's creatures were butchered and consumed by ravenous ghouls and skeletal warriors. It remained in the dark grip of the undead for some time, and posed a threat to the nearby Kirin Tor camps as well as to travelers using the road below.[citation needed]

After the Cataclysm, it was reclaimed by the Kirin Tor forces at Ambermill and used as part of their plot to save their village from the wrath of the Forsaken. The area is inhabited by Ambermill Portal Guardians, who guard the transdimensional portal leading to Ambermill. Inconspicuous Bears in the vicinity are in fact worgen druids who have come to their aid. According to High Warlord Cromush, "One would think that only an idiot would mistake one of their druids in bear form as a real bear. Unfortunately, there are many idiots here at the Forsaken Front."
