Belaria Salonar was a high elf noble and a member of the House of Salonar. Before the Second War, Belaria and her sister came to Windrunner Spire to say farewell to Alleria Windrunner who was leaving Quel'Thalas for the outside world. Sylvanas Windrunner noticed the sisters' exaggerated reaction to the leaving, considering they hadn't seen Alleria in years prior.

During the burning of Quel'Thalas, Windrunner Village came under attack from the Old Horde and their Amani troll allies. They slaughtered most of the elves there, including Belaria. After the Horde retreated, Sylvanas arrived and discovered the dead.
