Batubar the Relentless is the spear of Maruuk, which he wielded against the Burning Legion during the War of the Ancients. According to legend, it was infused with power by Ohn'ahra,[1] similar to Talonclaw. Batubar was buried alongside Maruuk in the main kurgan of the Eternal Kurgans, until Tombcaller Arban exhumed it so Clan Ukhel could raise Maruuk's spirit into undeath.[2] During the Nokhud Offensive, Gravelord Monkh conducts a ritual with Batubar and Sarantuya to summon and control Maruuk and Teera's spirits, but instead the spirits kill him. After subduing Maruuk and Teera, adventurers bring Batubar and Sarantuya to Teerakai and lay them to rest in the town's kurgan, where they can be protected more easily.[3]
