Applebough is a treant vendor located in Dalaran. Besides the normal fruits, this vendor also sells

During the purge of Dalaran, Applebough hid behind their cart.
After the fall of Dalaran, Applebough could be found on the Tranquil Strand on the Isle of Dorn. Several Nerubian Saboteurs can be found nearby, strangled to death by entangling roots.
Applebough could be seen outside the Caverns of Time in Tanaris during the Bronze Celebration.

In Hearthstone
Applebough appears as one of the bosses that can be encountered in the Dalaran Heist single-player experience in the Rise of Shadows expansion for Hearthstone.
During the development of Rise of Shadows, Applebough was at one point considered for inclusion as a collectible minion; Team 5 envisioned a design for a "Tree" card which would become dormant upon being killed and could come back to life after the controlling player healed for a certain amount, and initially thought that Applebough would be a perfect identity for this card. However, this idea was dropped since adding Treant synergy to the card could lead to unexpected issues. The design was eventually repurposed for the new character of Lucentbark instead.[1]
Notes
- When Applebough in Dalaran on the Broken Isles is approached as a Restoration druid with
[G'Hanir, the Mother Tree] equipped, the treant will occasionally toss a [Laden Apple] to the player character's bag.
- Applebough notices G'Hanir and tosses you a fresh apple!
- In Hearthstone, Applebough has a feminine voice.
- In the Russian version of World of Warcraft, Applebough was named with male ending Яблочкин (Yablochkin) initially. After with release of Hearthstone expansion Rise of Shadows Applebough was renamed with female ending Яблочкина (Yablochkina).

It's quite possible Applebough is a druid in the form of a treant as they are classified as humanoid, although this is strange as normal Tree of Life druids are considered elementals.
