Alexander Treadward was a human merchant and the fiance of Lucille Waycrest.[1] His spirit was doomed to an eternity of walking the grounds of the Whitegrove Chapel, but he couldn't remember the reasons why. All he remembered was that Lucille and him were to be wed, but instead he met his end. His strongest memories were tied to the ring he bore for Lucille that day. An Inquisitor of the Order of Embers retrieved it, and relived his memories. On the day of his wedding, an assassin interrupted the ceremony and murdered him. They then discovered that the assassin had been sent by Lucile's mother, Lady Meredith Waycrest, who was not in favor of her daughter's union with a common merchant. As he was told of these events, Alexander started to feel his bonds to the chapel slipping. Before leaving for good, he asked the Inquisitor to bring Lucille the ring she was supposed to bear. Finally, he asked them not to tell her about the fact that his spirit was cursed, until now. When presented with the ring, Lucille broke down and cried, wishing that Alexander were still here. Unbeknownst to her, Alexander's spirit was present, and whispered that he would always be with her.[2][3]
