Your Fortune Awaits
Your Fortune Awaits was a promotional website for Cataclysm, designed around the Darkmoon Faire theme. Players were able to interact with the website in various ways which would help move either the Horde or Alliance progress bars forward. In this process, the website unlocked never-before-seen Cataclysm artwork, ringtones, The Shattering novel excerpts, developer interviews, and exclusive cinematic trailers leading up to the expansion's release on 7 December 2010.[1]

Azeroth's Fortune
Please add any available information to this section.
Azeroth's Fortune was one section of this promotion.
Discover Your Destiny
The "Discover Your Destiny" section was essentially a personality test.
Before players could continue with the test, they had to choose their preferred faction:
- Side with the Alliance
- Humans, night elves, dwarves, gnomes, draenei, and most recently, worgen make up the illustrious Alliance. Proud and noble, courageous and wise, these races work together to preserver order in Azeroth.
- The Alliance is driven by honor and tradition. Its rulers are champions of justice, hope, knowledge, and faith.
- In a time when chaos and uncertainty reign, the Alliance remains steadfast in its determination to bring light to the darkest corners of the world.
- Side with the Horde
- The Horde is made up of orcs, Forsaken, tauren, trolls, blood elves, and most recently, goblins. Misunderstood and cast aside, these diverse and powerful races strive now to overcome their differences and unite as one in order to win freedom for their people and prosper in a land that has come to hate them.
- In the Horde, action and strength are valued above diplomacy, and its leaders earn respect by the blade, wasting no time with politics. The brutality of the Horde's champions is focused, giving a voice to those who fight for survival.
- When the enemies of the Horde have been cured of their intolerance, there may be peace.
- Until that day, there will be the Horde.
