  • The War Within Patch 11.2.0 (2025-08-05): Healing increased by 12%. Does not apply to PvP combat.
  • The War Within Hotfix (2025-03-25): Healing increased by an additional 20%.
  • The War Within Patch 11.1.0 (2025-02-25):
    • Healing increased by 15% for Holy.
    • Mana cost has been increased to 15% for Retribution (was 10%).
  • The War Within Hotfix (2024-10-29): Healing decreased by 10% in PvP combat.
  • The War Within Patch 11.0.5 (2024-10-22): Healing increased by 5%.

    • Now available to all specializations at level 7 (was a level 90 Retribution talent). Redesigned: Calls down the Light to heal a friendly target for (315% of Spell power). No longer has multiple charges.
    Old: Heals a friendly target and the 2 most injured targets within 30 yards for (560% of Spell power).
    • Rank 2 added (Level 34, Protection only): If cast on yourself, healing increased by up to 250% based on your missing health.
  • Battle for Azeroth Patch 8.1.0 (2018-12-11): Healing reduced by 40% when engaged in combat with enemy players (was 20%).
  • Battle for Azeroth Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Now available at level 90 (was 75). Redesigned: Heals a friendly target and the 2 most injured targets within 30 yards for (560% of Spell power).
    Old: Heal yourself and up to 5 friendly targets within 15 yards for (1200% of Spell power).
  • Legion Patch 7.1.5 (2017-01-10): Healing has been increased by 33%.
  • Legion Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Redesigned as a level 75 Retribution talent (was a level 9 ability for all paladins). Heal yourself and up to 5 friendly targets within 15 yards for (900% of Spell power).
    Previous: Consumes up to 3 Holy Power to heal a friendly target for up to (330% of spell power).
  • Warlords of Draenor Hotfix (2014-12-04): Healing has been increased by 25% for Protection and Retribution Paladins.
  • Warlords of Draenor Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Now has a 1.5-second cast time (up from instant cast).
  • Mists of Pandaria Hotfix (2013-03-27): Fixed an issue where Word of Glory did not work when both [Divine Purpose] and the Plate of the Lightning Emperor 2-piece set bonus were present.
  • Mists of Pandaria Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): No longer on the global cooldown for protection spec. Now has a 1.5 seconds cooldown, down from 20 seconds.
  • Cataclysm Patch 4.1.0 (2011-04-26): Now has a 20 second cooldown.
  • Cataclysm Patch 4.0.6 (2011-02-08): Word of Glory will no longer reset the swing timer.
  • Cataclysm Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Amount healed has changed slightly, increasing from around level 9 to 40, decreasing from around level 45 to 65 and increasing from around level 70 to 85.
