Vor'athil was a black-haired high elf ranger who served under Sylvanas Windrunner's command during the Third War. He was one of the three scouts sent to investigate the Scourge army, the other two being Kelmarin and Sheldaris. While Kelmarin returned to Sylvanas to inform her about the approaching army, he and Sheldaris had waited for Sylvanas to come with the bulk of the rangers. He was killed by a gargoyle during the first struggle with the Scourge, and later raised as an undead. He had his long black hair swept back in a ponytail, tanned skin, pointed ears and eyes blue as summer skies.[1]
