The Violet Gardens were an area in Dalaran. They were as saturated with magic as everything else in the city. Jaina Proudmoore never saw healthier, more colorful flowers, or eaten more delicious fruits, like goldenbark apples, and vegetables than here. She would come here and relax, sometimes accompanied with Kael'thas Sunstrider, who courted her. On an occasion, when Prince Arthas visited Dalaran, he found Jaina in the gardens. Later, they had a picnic here.[1]

During the Third War, it was there that the prophet Medivh met with Antonidas in order to convince him of the impending demon threat. After Medivh left because he could not convince Antonidas, Jaina Proudmoore revealed herself and spoke with her teacher about the rumors of a magical plague in the northlands.[2]

It's unknown whether the area was rebuilt after the fall of Dalaran.

Notes

  • In Reforged, the gardens were remodeled. The spires of the Violet Citadel are still seen, but not in the same place where Antonidas and Medivh meet.

Darius Orion mentioned that one of the guards found the body of a first-year apprentice in the gardens.[3] It may have been the Violet Gardens.
