Vartrus the Ancient was a spirit of an Ancient of Lore located in the Irontree Woods in Felwood.^[48, 24]

The  [Ancient Petrified Leaf] found in the Cache of the Firelord after Majordomo Executus' defeat belonged to him.

Vartrus appears during the vision of the War of the Ancients where he defends the Azshara region along with Huln Highmountain.

Abilities

•  Entangling Roots — Entangles an enemy in roots, inflicting Nature damage every 3 sec. and immobilizing it for up to 6 sec.
•  Gasp — A wave of natural energy washes over all enemies in a cone in front of the caster that inflicts Nature damage.
