Varidus the Flenser is a necromancer of the Scourge and the master of Bane. He can be found west of the Warsong Slaughterhouse in the Borean Tundra. Bane will occasionally bring Scourge Prisoners to Varidus, who raises them as Warsong Aberrations. After the player and Shadowstalker Getry confront him, he captured them. However before Varidus can reanimate them as agents of the Scourge, High Overlord Saurfang appears on the scene and kills Varidus.

Abilities
Shield of Suffering — Surrounds the caster with a shield which can absorb up to 2500 damage. The shield deals 2500 damage when it is broken.
Shadow Nova — Inflicts Shadow damage to nearby enemies.
Release Aberration — Varidus summons a small army of Warsong aberrations (69-70 Plague Eruptors)... all of which are quickly killed by Saurfang.

Notes
- Varidus gives a long speech before Saurfang enters the fray. The whole fight is basically you standing back and letting High Overlord Saurfang and Shadowstalker Getry kill Varidus.
