Animations
Hey, with the large scope of World of Warcraft there isn't a need for these animated gifs of NPC animations. — Surafbrov T / C 04:34, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
- Someday the game won't be playable anymore. I don't see why we wouldn't catalogue as much info as possible about it. Surely there's no downside to having more info rather than less? SipsHellpoint (talk) 18:20, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
Files
Heya, when uploading pictures, don't forget to choose a license from the dropdown menu (or add it afterward). Also, try to match file names with related pages, such as File:Escaped Captive.png and Escaped Captive. Thanks! -- Mordecay (talk) 20:49, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for the heads up! SipsHellpoint

- Hey, you can find some pointers for taking screenshots here. Takes a bit of practice to remember all the details, but generally we avoid having names or other UI elements in the shots. PeterWind (talk) 22:14, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for the pointer! I didn't realize the "no UI" rule included the name of the NPC.
- Another thing would be looking at anti-aliasing. If you compare a shot like this with the one here, you can see your shot is a bit "fuzzy" at the edges. This can be fixed by turning up the anti-aliasing features. You'll likely have a few different options available depending on your hardware. You can experiment and see which option looks best, but you should see some differences. PeterWind (talk) 11:45, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- Oh and also, before I forget, the one here has a targeting circle visible. For characters located in dark areas, you can instead simply hover the mouse over the mouse over the character to light them up when taking a screenshot. To avoid characters following you with their face, should that be a problem, you can use stealth if that's an option. PeterWind (talk) 11:50, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
