About addons

i really wish to know what addons you are using in this screen, the unit screen addon is awesome, and the most beatifull unit frame addon i´ve seeing.

Put wowwiki IRC in welcome templates?

I was wondering if might be okay to put irc.freenode.net, #wowwiki into the welcome templates: {{Welcome}} & {{Signedwelcome|<user_name>}} Not sure if this would flood the IRC channel or not, but people might like somewhere they can real-time chat with WoWWiki folks. --Fandyllic (talk) 5:29 PM PST 22 Dec 2006

I've been unable to access the IRC at all. Whenever I click on the link, I get a message saying the the browser can't load anything with "irc://" when I change it to http, I'm prompted for an ID and password. the only explanation I can come up wth is that I'm using Safari 2.0.4. You need an IRC program :) I use XChat. Quite easy to set up and use (and it'll make those links clickable) Alternatively you can use a nice basic online IRC thingy - such as IRC @ Work. I use that when at Uni. -- Kirkburn (talk) 12:21, 23 December 2006 (EST)

Half-elf editing

I don't know who added this, but not only is it wrong, mired with speculation, its not neutral POV;

Contridictions

Due to the term "half-elf" comes from lore books (not all are trustworthy) some things need to be clarified. High-elves (rangers) and half-elves cannot become druids or even practice druidism. They lack the Touch of Nature, a gift given only to those who hold affinity for druidism. As they were arcane wielders, high-elves never embraced the druidic teachings of Cenarius.

The idea of "planetary cross-breeding" is disturbing since a cat cannot have kittens/puppies with a dog. Biologically, a cross-breed is impossible due to the difference between races.

From what I gather, he could be classed as a hardcore roleplayer (the level is speculation, but I know he roleplays). A couple of weeks ago, he started something similar about the War of the Ancients trilogy, offering the opinion that roleplayers needn't accept it as canon because of flawed temporal mechanics or some such. Ah never mind Kawakas was just quoting Celebant, and mentioning how he was going to remove the questionable information. It was just that the quote kind of got merged with the rest of the text, with no seperation. Daelin

Would you be willing to reinsert the removed information in a good spot? As I've stated in ragestorm's thread its best if I don't do it myself... and fall for his "trap". I just looked it up, its on pg 4. I don't know what his issue is with the eldest son having no name... We can only go with the information that the book actually gives us, and no name was given... But it was about the most important piece of information given about Daelin in Day of the Dragon, and certainly belongs in the article.Baggins 18:02, 24 December 2006 (EST)

Common

Is it me, but does it seem as if [Blizzard] somewhat treats Common as our language "English" as far as written lore goes? At least it seems to be a mixture of fictional words along with obviously earth-based terms...

Things that need to be moved

Bookkeepers

I can't think of anyone who would pass the examination than you. Fandyllic put in the header saying that the Bookkeeepers wouldn't take new members, though, and I've largely abided by that. I never questioned him, as it fit in fine with my own incomplete agenda. I'm trying to reformat the Bookkeepers, you see, so the whole thing is barely ceremonial at the moment. But then, Silverside's community plans had barely taken off when he left, and the other admins were all overwhelmed. I hope you don't mind I posted in the articles one last time, added quotation marks, for the wording he viewed as being "non-neutral" in order to point out that it is blizzard's terminology and not mine.

In addition, I put quotion marks around refrence to high elf druidism in Dark Ranger article. I also made the last section of Warcraft RPG more neutral and to point out Blizzard's view over fan views of the RPG. As much as some people hate RPG, according to Chriss Metzen, and Blizzard it is an official source of information as valid as the novels or any other source. No matter what others might wish.

Protection problem

No, this has nothing to do with condoms. ~

I noticed that when I clicked on "Unprotect" at the top of my user page, it brought me to a page that asked if I wanted to protect my article (i.e. EDIT = default, MOVE = Sysops Only). This confused me, since I thought the article was protected already, so I made a dummy login and successfully edited my user page on that login. I logged back in to User:Montag and "Unprotect" still appeared at the top of the page. ~
