Rage of the Empires, consisting of the Vengeance of Zul'jin and the Madness of Jin'do, is an optional boss encounter of Fall of the Zandalari. Like Gonk the Great Hunter, their defeat is not required to engage Zanza the Almighty and escape the Voodoo Realm, although it is recommended for gearing raids to fight them, as they are easier to defeat than Zanza.

Thousands of years ago, groups of trolls broke away from the original Zandalari tribe and formed two great empires in what is now the Eastern Kingdoms: the Gurubashi and the Amani. While both kingdoms have all but collapsed, the vengeance and madness of two of the empires' greatest leaders still lurk in the form of angry spirits. Restless and crazed, the shadows of Zul'jin of the Amani and Jin'do of the Gurubashi wander the Voodoo Realm, yearning to be free from their everlasting rage.
