The Dreamless Kingdom is the second patch for the Emerald Dream Expansion Concept.
Patch X.2 - The Dreamless Kingdom
General Overview
- New Zone: The Ur'Leng Plateau. A region shrouded in the grip of the Nightmare and infested with terrible monsters.
- New Storyline: N'Zoth has summoned his oldest servants, the vespari, into the Emerald Dream. An ancient race that has existed since the Black Empire ruled Azeroth, the vespari have brought dark and terrible powers to bear against the enemies of their master. Empowered by N'Zoth's blessings, the vespari intend to spread the essence of the Nightmare into Azeroth itself.
- New Raid: Raxx-Vespar, the Dreamless Kingdom. The great fortress-city of the Vespari.
The Story So Far...
The heroes of the Dream have weathered the Nightmare's assaults, redeeming the Nightmare Lord and restoring him to his true form as Malorne, as well as holding the line against the Dark Ancients. The heroes have purged the corruption of the Nightmare wherever it surfaces, and recovered several of the Nightmare Seeds, relics of the Old Gods that created the Nightmare long ago. Working with the pure energy of the uncorrupted Emerald Dream, the guardians of the Dream have been able to neutralize the captured Nightmare Seeds, and for the first time developed the means to reverse the corruption of the Nightmare and drive it completely from the lands it has tainted.
No sooner does hope seem to bloom for the champions of the Emerald Dream than a new threat rears its head. N'Zoth has summoned his most engimatic servants, the insectile vespari, from the corrupted gloom of the Nightmare. The shroud of the Nightmare parts to reveal their ancient citadel of Raxx-Vespar atop the Ur'Leng Plateau. To the vespari, N'Zoth has entrusted all the Nightmare Seeds captured by his servants, tasking them to carry out some dark scheme with the relics. With their master's blessing, the wicked Vespari intend to spread the Nightmare beyond the Dream into the waking world of Azeroth itself.
