Idruinn Deepshade, the Unblinking Eye. Former member of the Cenarion Circle, who stood in defense of Silithus for centuries. Eventually, his mind was worn away by the unending battle with the qiraji and the servants of the Twilight's Hammer that followed C'Thun. Devoting himself to the worship of the Old Gods, Idruinn left Silithus and traveled north when Ahn'Qiraj fell.
Abilities
Precision Strike — Deals physical damage to the current target and sunders their armor, increasing the damage they take for a short period of time.
Glaring Eyes — Spawns two eyeballs that project an energy beam between them. Anyone passing through the beams takes periodic shadow damage. Eyeballs can be attacked and destroyed - each pair of eyeballs shares health.
Curse of C'Thun — Causes an eyeball tentacle to grow out of the target's back. The target cannot attack the tentacle, but nearby allies can. Eyeball tentacles cast mindflay on random targets.
Blessing of C'Thun — Idruinn Deepshape transforms into a mutated giant, gaining increased attack speed and damage. Used at 20% health.
Heroic Mode Only Abilities
Explosive Eyeball — Continuously spawns eyeballs that eventually explode, dealing nature damage to anyone nearby.
Strategy
Idruinn Deepshade will use all of his abilities throughout the encounter. At low health, Idruinn gains the Blessing of C'Thun, which transforms him into an insectile giant, greatly increasing his attack damage and speed.
Heroic Mode Changes
- Idruinn gains the Blessing of C'Thun at 40% health instead of at 20% health.
- Explosive Eyeball - Idruinn gains the Explosive Eyeball ability.
Achievement
[30-35] The Eyes Have It - Defeat Idruinn Deepshade without being afflicted by his Glaring Eyes ability.
