Background
Dungeon Journal
Most druids draw their strength from their patron Totem animal. The Druids of the Claw revere Ursol and Ursoc. The Druids of the Talon revere Aviana. It is a mystery what putrid aberration bestows its bastard power on the Druids of the Coil. Hand chosen by his superiors to aid in Naziir's infestation, Vekrith coordinates the Nightmare's reinforcements through the gaping wound in Balor's stomach. He will bring all his writhing gifts to bear to ensure the continued corruption of Balor.
Abilities
The Worm Turns
- Helminthiasis — Infests its current target with parasitic worms, absorbing an amount of healing for a set period of time. Interruptible. Dispellable.
- Slithering Bolt — Marks the current location of a random player and sends a slithering bolt of energy along the ground to that location, returning to the boss afterward. Any players hit deal AOE shadow damage around them. The initial target can move out of this location before the bolt arrives.
- Rain of Leeches — Calls down a rain of leeches on 2 random players, dealing a set amount of damage for a set period of time.
- Call Vekri Tunneler — Calls a Vekri Tunneler underneath a random player, which erupts a few seconds later and spams Acid Spit on random targets.
- Acid Spit — Deals nature damage to a random target.
Embrace the Coil
At a certain percentage of health, the boss will transform into 1 of 2 Worm forms randomly, either the Bileworm Form or Blood Fluke Form, gaining a new set of abilities. After a certain amount of damage is done, he will revert back to Satyr form.
- Bileworm Form — Shifts into the form of a massive Bileworm.
- Circular Jaws — Takes a massive bite out of the tank with circular, rotating jaws, dealing physical damage.
- Rancid Spit — Spits balls of bile at 2 random players, dealing damage and spawning Pools of Bile at their location.
- Pools of Bile — Deals nature damage to all those inside.
- Earthshifter — Burrows down and resurfaces at a random location on the platform, shifting the earth and pushing away all players for a period of time. This can be reduced by moving towards the boss' location.
- Blood Fluke Form — Shifts into the form of a tiny fluke, which immediately jumps inside a random player. Other players can damage the boss, but it takes 25-50% less damage.
- Ravaging Infestation — The fluke tears apart the current host's insides, dealing increasing nature damage for as long as it is infested. While infested, the host gets a Nausea meter which increases as the boss is damaged or upon stepping in Noxious Puddles. Once Nausea reaches 100%, the host can press the Purge button on the added action bar and retch the boss onto a target area.
- Involuntary Emesis — The host projects a cone out in front of them and deals damage to all inside it. The host is knocked back.
- Egg Expulsion — The host drops a bundle of eggs on the ground at their location which explode a few seconds later, dealing AOE damage in a small area. Spawns 3 fairly weak Vekri Flukes. Upon dying, the flukes drop a Noxious Puddle, which increases the host's Nausea when stepped over.
- Gathering Speed — Once outside a host, the Blood Fluke fixates on a random player and begins to chase them, gaining speed the longer it remains outside a host. Once it reaches a host, it burrows in and inflicts Ravaging Infestation. While outside a host, the boss takes greatly increased damage.
Fury of the Worm God!
Vekrith transforms back into his satyr form and gains his abilities from phase 1 with 1 exception; he will cast Undulating Bolt instead of Slithering Bolt.
- Undulating Bolt — Marks the current location of a random player and sends an undulating bolt of energy along the ground to that location. Once the bolt reaches that location, it will then move toward the current location of the next nearest player, and then return to the boss after that. Any players hit deal AOE shadow damage around them. The initial and secondary target can move out of this location before the bolt arrives.
Mythic Changes
- Vekrith will assume both Worm forms during the fight once having reached a certain percentage of health.
- Vekrith uses Undulating Bolt during phase 1 instead of Slithering Bolt.
- Vekri Tunnelers gain Engorging Glands, which increases the nature damage they deal after every Acid Spit cast. Stacks.
