Everett grew up in Brill with his friends Dalan and Celedine. In his teens, he and Dalan started working as farmhands at the Agamand Mills. Before long, Celedine left Brill to train in the armed forces of Stormwind. Drawing inspiration from her actions, Dalan also joined the armed forces, but in the local capital of Lordaeron. Before long, Dalan was sent on a military assignment to investigate the early stages of the Scourge plague, and Everett was left alone in Brill.
Eventually, the Scourge invaded and captured Brill, and Everett was able to flee safely with his family, travelling south into Stormwind. They reached the Capital City safely and started a new life. Wanting to aid in the fight against the undead, Everett began his studies of the Holy Light at the Stormwind Cathedral where he became a paladin.
Soon, he joined the Argent Dawn and travelled to the Plaguelands to combat the Scourge. While there, he was reunited with his old friend Celedine. Sympathizing with her frustration with the slow action of the Argent Dawn against the undead, he joined her in the forming of a splinter cell strike force and began carrying out strategic operations against the Scourge.
