The Tormented Amalgamation is located in the Planes of Torment during the Escape from the Maw. It is a malevolent collection of ancient, hostile souls.[1] The dark magic that binds these souls together also keeps them more or less coherent. Darion Mograine used a fragment of the Helm of Domination to coerce the amalgamation into giving him information on a way to get out of the Maw.[2] The amalgamation tells him about the waystone found at Zovaal's Cauldron, after which it dies.[3]
Abilities
Discordant Howl — Reduces the movement speed of all enemies within 15 yards by 50% for 5 sec. Inflicts Shadow damage to all enemies within 15 yards.
Disruptive Screams — Inflicts Shadow damage to enemies within 15 yds, interrupting spellcasting.
Fearsome Howl — Let loose a fearsome howl, inflicting Shadow damage to enemies within 30 yds and causing them to run in fear.
