Ner'zhul

Ner'zhul, chieftain of the Shadowmoon clan, is an influential elder shaman. With intelligence and cunning beyond his peers, he crafts far-reaching machinations.
For years untold, the Shadowmoon clan divined wisdom from the stars over Draenor. Orcs from far and wide called on the clan for prophecies, and the Shadowmoon chieftain, the shaman Ner'zhul, was known for his ability to communicate with spirits. When the legendary warlord Grommash Hellscream forged most of the orcs into a destructive force called the Iron Horde, the Shadowmoon clan faced a daunting choice: join or die. Ner'zhul chose survival and pledged his allegiance to Grommash and the Iron Horde.
Yet the Shadowmoon orcs' mysticism and fortune telling were of little value to the warmongering Grommash. To keep the clan from being stomped out by the Iron Horde, Ner'zhul desperately sought a dark revelation beyond the reach of Hellscream. Ner'zhul spurned tradition, turning to long-forbidden shadow arts. In the skies above Shadowmoon Valley, he revealed an ancient source of void magic that simply waited to be unleashed. Now with the heavens in his sights, Ner'zhul intends to harness the power of the stars. If he succeeds, neither the warlords of the Iron Horde nor the combined might of Azeroth's heroes will be able to stop him.

Ner'zhul leads his Shadowmoon clan from the hills of Shadowmoon Valley. Shrouded in perpetual twilight, this mysterious region is littered with sacred stone monuments aboveground and riddled with cryptic natural caverns below.
