A little help

Hey, dunno where u are getting the info but here are some links I used for my own article regarding W3 alpha - 1, 2, 3.

  • lorewise, there was an idea about nathrezim betraying Kil'jaeden and serving Ner'zhul, the Lich King who used his influence to control them.
  • Garona to be playable (and main character).
  • Goblins of Undermine to be a playable faction.
  • blind paladin - Uther
  • Sorceresses to be human instead of elf. --Mordecay (talk) 11:41, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
Aw man, that's nice. When you say "my own article regarding W3 alpha", what are you talking about? Xporc (talk) 11:48, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
I am an editor of a non-English fansite. --Mordecay (talk) 12:10, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
Oh, nice. German, maybe? Xporc (talk) 12:27, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
No. Czech/Slovak. --Mordecay (talk) 17:03, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
Hey, I'm French. Maybe someday wowpedia will have its own european meetup ^^ Xporc (talk) 17:05, 31 March 2017 (UTC)

Having a good start so far! Xporc (talk) 21:31, 4 April 2017 (UTC)

Apart from playing a lot of WC3, and messing about in the editor once in a while, I don't know too much about planned/cancelled stuff, but i'll be interested in seeing what you dig up on this :) PeterWind (talk) 07:07, 5 April 2017 (UTC)

Also, my mind tries to tell me that in the (isle of) Undermine (which is now Kezan) was supposed to be a portal for the Burning Legion. IDK where it is from, tho. --Mordecay (talk) 17:47, 8 April 2017 (UTC)

Can't add that without at least a partial source :p Xporc (talk) 21:00, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
Of course. The only thing I found was an archived post of SoL where an user said he read it somewhere :D Never mind, then. --Mordecay (talk) 21:17, 8 April 2017 (UTC)

Only a bit more of The Frozen Throne info and it should be over. Xporc (talk) 16:24, 9 April 2017 (UTC)

Shouldn't the links for units be to their Warcraft III pages instead of general ones? --Mordecay (talk) 17:23, 9 April 2017 (UTC)

I thought about it, but the RTS units pages are usually reserved for gameplay/manual information while the trivia and lore surrounding units is usually put on the main page. Xporc (talk) 17:27, 9 April 2017 (UTC)

This seems interesting [1]. --Mordecay (talk) 17:07, 30 May 2017 (UTC)

Indeed~ Xporc (talk) 18:49, 30 May 2017 (UTC)

Warcraft III was called Warcraft Legends it's second hand so adding it as bit of info for those interested on the talk page here - 29:40 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rCKaVo93fw - GI Show – Warcraft III, Diablo Immortal, Red Dead Developer Roundtable. Mrforesttroll (talk) 01:31, 11 November 2018 (UTC)

By one Blizz dev there where originally 13 races then 8, Sam Didier remembers 9 races. Other tidbits there was originally a dragon race that was a single unit a dragon - 30:15. Mrforesttroll (talk) 01:38, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
Other races - 31 min - tauren, troll, ogres, demons, centaurs and infernals/infernal demons. Dwarves rode spiders and night elves had insects. Mrforesttroll (talk) 01:44, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
Those are some interesting trivia, but the ideas are so weird and outlandish, those are all probably ideas that were abandoned quickly Xporc (talk) 12:21, 12 November 2018 (UTC)

Forest trolls or jungle trolls?

The entry reads "very early screenshots had them as trolls with the same skin tone as forest trolls instead of the one of jungle trolls." Is there any proof of this? The early screenshots included in this page clearly show blue-skinned headhunters. It does make sense that they were originally forest trolls, since they have the Cuban forest troll accent instead of the Jamaican jungle troll accent, and why would jungle trolls say "Vengeance for Zul'jin"? Still, I think this needs a citation. Abelhawk (talk) 18:39, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

File:Warcraft III - Alpha screen.jpg, File:Warcraft III - Alpha screen 4.jpg - these two show headhunters with a green(ish) skin. Also the battlenet text of Troll Headhunter (Warcraft III) has them be from northern Lordaeron and says they once again pledged their services - http://classic.battle.net/war3/orc/units/trollheadhunter.shtml. Love your videos man :). Mrforesttroll (talk) 18:55, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

Something to add

If anyone is good at making gifs from YouTube videos, they could make one at some duration between 1:47 and 1:56 so we can document what the Goblin Merchant's idle animation would've been. --ShadowShade81413 (talk) 21:31, 11 January 2020 (UTC)

not me ^^ Xporc (talk) 12:57, 12 January 2020 (UTC)

Gallery saturation

The whole point of this article was to be a source of all and everything changed or cut from the game. Listing every single concept art defeats that purpose. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 18:32, 27 January 2022 (UTC)

Ok I understood. I will return the previous version, tomorrow I will clean it from excess —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Digital1Knight (talk · contr).
I've already did the cleanup, there is no need to do anything else. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 19:09, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
Agreed with the concepts, but there are some titled alpha/beta and are now unused:

--HordeRace bloodelf male.jpg Mordecay (talk) 19:26, 27 January 2022 (UTC)

I've added the majority. The only ones I didn't add are the following as I don't see something that was changed/cut from them: File:Warcraft 3 Beta 10.jpg, File:Warcraft 3 Beta 9.jpg, File:Warcraft 3 Beta 1.jpg. For an example, this one shows vehicles with wrecking balls on them. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 20:54, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
Good. The ones you listed have different UI (order of statistics). Quickly glancing at the gallery, all these versions are represented in other images there, except File:Warcraft 3 Beta 1.jpg i think. --HordeRace bloodelf male.jpg Mordecay (talk) 21:03, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
