Time-frame retcon
I found the source for the 10 years. It's in the WC3 manual. However, when this section was ported into WoW, Blizzard changed it.
WC3: "For ten long years, Ner’zhul built up his power base in Northrend. A great citadel was erected..." WoW: "While Thrall was liberating his brethren in Lordaeron, Ner'zhul continued to build up his power base in Northrend. A great citadel was erected..."
Both accounts are identical except for that first sentence. The War of the Spider was retconned to be much shorter and start in year 18. --Aquamonkeyeg (talk) 06:00, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
