this seems to be the best translation out there if anyone finds something better feel free to add it http://www.wowhead.com/?item=43722#comments:id=439053

Is this item really named Vareesa's Copper Coin, and not Vereesa's Copper Coin? INV Misc Orb 04.pngXavius, the Satyr Lord 13:22, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Think I found a better translation "Rest well, honored Terenas. Peace for my beloved Sylvanas. Let us all live through these times. Silvermoon..."based on based on this article. Its looks to take the original translation and correct it. http://www.reflectionsfromthepond.com/2009/01/29/vareesas-copper-coin/ Mattyankees (talk) 16:22, March 15, 2010 (UTC)

The problem with it is that A) it's making the assumption she's not using her native tongue, and B) it's based entirely on the in-game language filter, which isn't a true "language." It has maybe three dozen words and which words it uses are based solely on how many letters the original word has. The fact that names typically don't translate and neither Terenas nor Sylvanas's names appear in there makes it unlikely. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 19:28, March 15, 2010 (UTC)

I changed a few words, though I can't of course know exactly the whole sentence. "I wish for honor. I will make peace, for death is eternal. Green ones..." I based this on: Speculated that Vareesa begins her wish with saying "I wish...". "Talah" is presumed to mean "death", from the officially translated phrase "Bash'a no falor talah" said by Sylvanas, which means "Taste the chill of true death". "Adore" is a wild speculation, but it could be a part of, and have the same meaning as, the word "dor", from the word "Kalimdor" which means "Land of Eternal Starlight". The "green ones" could be referred to orcs, but also to the green eyed Blood Elfs which Vereesa oppose. (If it really is Vereesa's coin and not this Vareesa.) And why would she mention Terenas, Sylvanas and Silvermoon? Also, just because "isera'duna" becomes Silvermoon in-game is because they have the same amount of letters.

I'm also sorry if it seems like I'm spamming the "real" page, I didn't notice until afterwards. Merala (Talk) 00:02, March 29, 2010 (UTC)
