Connection to Spirit Healers?
Is there any solid connection between the two kinds of beings? They are both angelic beings of energy, relating to the "spirit world".

- Spirit Healers seem more like angels or ancient guides, while these are raised spirits. So far, we do not know how the Spirit Healers were created, but necromancy doesn't quite fit. The Val'kyr judge people while the Spirit Healers resurrect people, albeit with a small price that probably comes as a side effect more than a toll to pay the SH. Ultimately, the only two things the Val'kyr share with the Spirit Healers are 1) Angelic appearance and 2) Link with death/rebirth. Throan Loremaker (talk) 00:06, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

only 9 Val'kyr joined the Forsaken?
are there really only 9 Val'kyrs joined the forsaken according to Metzen if that was case how come 100s that the horde and alliance encounter in Andorhal? in fact horde players use some them to raise famers while the allaince kill some of them.Forsakenlord (talk) 22:13, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
- The way I see it there are 9 Val'kyr leaders who joined the Forsaken and all the unnamed Val'kyr like the ones in Andorhal are lesser Val'kyr. --Sairez (talk) 22:17, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
- What Sairez said. There are the 9 original ones that the Lich King created who signed a contract with Sylvanas and there are the Lesser Val'kyr which are believed to be offspring and or less powerful versions of the main nine.(Sports72Xtrm (talk))

Val'kyr of the Light?
Are there any canon sources that can be provided as citations for the original Val'kyr being 'of the Light' rather than assumptions being made due to the resemblance their abilities bear to Light users' in places? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jamtheblue (talk · contr).
