Party setup

I'd disagree with the recommended party setup. The end boss regularly sleeps the main tank, so it's useful to have an off-tank who can contribute DPS for most of the rest of the instance. I'd recommend a feral druid for this role, due to their additional ability to sleep dragons, although a DPS warrior or retribution paladin should also suffice.

Even though an off-tank makes the last encounter easier, it is not a necessity, especially not anytime sooner. There are so many other (damage dealing) classes which suffice as an off-tank (Shaman, Paladin, Druid, Warlock's Voidwalker, Hunter's Pet, offensive Warrior). Of course, mentioning the benefits of an off-tank would be good, feel free to make changes. :) --bfx 11:49, 8 April 2007 (EDT)

Level requirement

Lowest level that I got into ST so far (I boosted a group of lower level guildies) is lvl 41 (he was the lowest one in the group and we were curious whether he could enter, but it was no problem to get in there for him)

End Bosses

Avatar of Hakkar is listed as an end boss. I don't exactly know what makes a boss an end boss, but I really doubt this is one. The fight is relatively easy, and it can be done rather early. --bfx 08:07, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

The Shade of Eranikus is the Achievement boss for what I know. All of the Other bosses and mobs ranging from levels 44-49, The Shade of Eranikus is the only level 50 Boss/mob in Atal'Hakkar. Vaslor (talk) 21:03, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Strange Carvings

I'm a bit confused. Almost all the carvings in ST are of people in hoods with moustaches and big ears. Can trolls have moustaches, or are they maybe pictures of men or elves that might have visited ST. Mr.X8 01:07, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Weird...

Anyone know what the maximum summoning level is to use the stone? We just had a level 58 try it, no dice. --Joshmaul 06:22, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Stuck

I desided to run this today and i died. now i can't get back to the portal since there is the room where you have to go underwater. help! Minor miner7 (talk) 14:49, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

You can go underwater when you are dead. You have to "change your direction" to almost straight down, but once you do, you are under water and can continue as you would swimming. ... but with less chance of drowning. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 18:30, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Proposed move

In-game information should take precedence over the lore name, especially since the zone in-game, on fansites, and on the game guide is called Sunken Temple. --g0urra[T҂C] 08:45, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

Temple of Atal'Hakkar appears on the Swamp of Sorrows in-game map as well as the dungeon's in-game map, and the name is used in several quests (e.g. N [15-30] Blessing of the Green Dragonflight); on the other hand, there are things like  [Sunken Temple].
There might be some amount of dithering between the name of the overall structure and the instance within, but it seems like Blizzard is using the two interchangeably. I'm not sure whether the in-game zone name is really that interesting (it appears on your screen briefly at some point after zoning?), and as Sunken Temple redirects here, we're not really hurting for consistency with other sources. The current title sounds slightly more specific (and perhaps subjectively cooler).
I don't feel strongly either way -- we could move it, or we could keep it the current title. — foxlit (talk) 19:09, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
The official name for it apperently is Sunken Temple....--LemonBaby (talk) 07:42, 11 August 2013 (UTC)
Given how interchangeable the names are, so long as one name redirects to the other I don't much care which one is used. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 00:20, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
