https://www.wowhead.com/npc=83783/depleted-phoenix - clearly shows that the blue coloration is also a phoenix just like the orange ones from WoD. As the Stormcrow mount was never added outside the 5.4 MoP PTR, the same appearance of the Stormwing pet would make it the same creature as the mob that made it to the full game (a phoenix). • it'd be cool if it was a callback to the thunder phoenixes of durotar (i miss those guys), but the "half bird, half elemental" thing makes me think stormwing is a unique creature and not an actual phoenix —Eithris (talk) 02:59, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
