Shouldn't this be a blurb of Illidari? Xporc (talk) 13:57, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

Not sure, Matron Mother Malevolence seems to indicate a difference when becoming a champion Matron Mother Malevolence says: I have always been honored to be one of the Servants of Illidan. But, to officially become one of the Illidari... look away, <name>, I think I might cry.Shammiesgun (talk) 14:04, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
The way I understand it, these "Servants of Illidan" are what we previously called Illidan's forces, while the Illidari themselves were the elite members of the faction. And, well, "Illidan's forces" were merged into the Illidari page. Xporc (talk) 14:17, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
Maybe we should re-create the Illidan's forces page? Maybe Chronicle 3 will shed some light on this. --Mordecay (talk) 14:31, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
Probably best to wait for Chronicles 3, yes. It'll drop in what, three months? Xporc (talk) 14:57, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
Yes, end of February and March can't come sooner! I'm against the merge, given the quote cited and Neilson's wording of the Illidari, tho. --Mordecay (talk) 15:02, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
The way I see it, we either merge everything into Illidari or have a separate page combining the Servants of Illidan, Illidan's forces, Illidan's Naga, Illidan's Servitors. I doubt Chronicles will shed more details about the inner workings of the Illidari, but I'm OK with waiting. Xporc (talk) 15:17, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
From what I understand, it seems that the Illidari were originally only Illidan's demon hunters. They were part of the Servants of Illidan that included: Kale'thas' forces, Illidan's Naga, Illidan's Servitors, the Fel Horde etc. After the events of the Burning Crusade only the Illidari and some broken and naga tribes survived. Now these tribes are part of the Illidari since the rest of the forces have been defeated or have defected. Wouldn't be something like this? --Ryon21 (talk) 15:28, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

N [25-30] Against the Illidari refers to Illidan's pet servants as the Illidari, with the quest objective Lothros having the Servant of Illidan title. --Mordecay (talk) 16:35, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

I'm not really sure about tagging people like Illidari Satyr as "Servants of Illidan" when it's said in their name they are Illidari. Xporc (talk) 18:21, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
Hmm... me neither :D Want that changed to Illidari, then? --Mordecay (talk) 18:25, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
I have no idea, really. I think the "Illidari" name + <Servant of Illidan> title was Blizzard's way to explain that the Illidari were Illidan's factions, kind of like "Darkfallen" is speculated to be the translation of "San'layn". Xporc (talk) 18:28, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

So with Chronicle long released and with no new mentions of this group, what we do now? To sum up, N Demon hunter [45] Champion: Matron Mother Malevolence of Legion makes a clear distinction between the two, but others want to merge it with the Illidari. It is possible to merge it since there are pages like the Uncrowned and the Hand of Argus which have their "leadership councils" redirect to those pages, it would be just the opposite, having the "servants" redirect to the "main faction" of the Illidari. Tho I wouldn't mind having two pages as well. --Mordecay (talk) 08:34, 18 February 2020 (UTC)

I'd personally merge with the main Illidari page, since we did it too for Illidan's forces, but that's just my opinion Xporc (talk) 10:57, 19 February 2020 (UTC)
