Should we make seperate pages, or a note, that the "Redridge Mountains" is the name of the "zone" and also of "mountains" in the area?  Rolandius Paladin.gif (talk - contr) 10:38, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

I don't think that's necessary. All that remains of the mountains is located inside the zone anyway. Jormungand01 (talk) 15:19, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Lakeshire Bridge Repaired

On MMo-Champ it is a Blue Post. Hallowseve15 (talk) 16:12, June 18, 2010 (UTC)

The bridge in Redridge Mountains | 2010-06-18 03:22 | Blizzard Entertainment Ghostcrawler

No spoilers, but there is no way we could request Redridge without the bridge playing a prominent role. :)

How do you assume this means it's going to be repaired? Isn't Lakeshire going to be on fire? The bridge has just as much a chance of being gone. IconSmall DrakeAzure.gif Drazisil (t/cSpecial:Editcount/Drazisil edits so far...) 21:54, June 18, 2010 (UTC)

Alliance.

No not about that. Cite me that it's Alliance and i'll be the first to make the note, but even then the big icon will be neutral. Inv helmet 44.pngIconSmall Vincent.gif The Artist Formerly Known As, MoneygruberTheGoblinMind your manners (talk contribs) 20:40, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

I will revert any edit that changes the main icon into a neutral one. Let's make that perfectly clear from the get-go. Now then, since you are the one who wants to make a change, you're the one who needs to cite your source. Why should Redridge be listed as "neutral" or "contested" rather than "Alliance" when there is no Horde presence in the zone in any way, shape, or form, keeping in mind that the presence of hostile mobs is not sufficient to declare a zone neutral. Fojar38 (talk) 20:46, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
I have game mechanics supporting my case. And you? Inv helmet 44.pngIconSmall Vincent.gif The Artist Formerly Known As, MoneygruberTheGoblinMind your manners (talk contribs) 20:47, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
Lore AND game mechanics. Not only is it part of the Kingdom of Stormwind, but there is also literally nothing in Redridge for Horde players. The only argument that you have is that Horde players don't get autoflagged in Redridge if they're on PvP servers, an argument that could be made for considering any given quest hub to be "neutral" since they don't autoflag you. Fojar38 (talk) 20:50, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
Game mechanics? No. Source your lore. Inv helmet 44.pngIconSmall Vincent.gif The Artist Formerly Known As, MoneygruberTheGoblinMind your manners (talk contribs) 20:51, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
Simply saying "no" doesn't refute my argument. And it's common knowledge that Redridge is part of Stormwind. It has been since Warcraft 1. But since you want a direct source, A [7-30] Hero's Call: Redridge Mountains! has Varian outright saying that Redridge is Stormwind territory. Fojar38 (talk) 20:55, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
Why are Wildhammer, Dwarves, and Elves listed as Redridge races? Isn't that RPG stuff? Erthad (talk) 21:20, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
That has nothing to do with this argument... Now then, before this gets more out of hand, the correct icon for this zone is Alliance. The Contested game mechanic is thrown on all zones above the starter level, this does not mean the zone doesn't belong to a faction, it's just to open up world PvP. Lack of Horde presence usually indicates Alliance alignment, lack of Alliance presence usually indicates Horde alignment, and if both factions have a heavy presence then it's neutral, likewise if neither faction has a presence it's neutral as well. Im done trying to enforce any game mechanics on this wiki. Mark this down somewhere. Inv helmet 44.pngIconSmall Vincent.gif The Artist Formerly Known As, MoneygruberTheGoblinMind your manners (talk contribs) 02:03, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
Well, it is sort of marked on Template:Infobox zone, where it states faction: Alliance, Horde, or Neutral based on the MMORPG only (default Neutral). MMORPG should however be changed to say lore-wise now probably. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 02:19, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
I see. Inv helmet 44.pngIconSmall Vincent.gif The Artist Formerly Known As, MoneygruberTheGoblinMind your manners (talk contribs) 02:22, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
So, now there will be a bunch of fights on who controls each zone in lore?--SWM2448 02:24, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
It would seem it is inevitable. Any zone marked as Horde will be a huge discussion. This is exactly what I intended to prevent. Inv helmet 44.pngIconSmall Vincent.gif The Artist Formerly Known As, MoneygruberTheGoblinMind your manners (talk contribs) 02:26, 31 March 2012 (UTC)

Illgalar

Okay we have no idea who Illgalar is and we don't know that Morganth ever even fought him, why's that on the main page? Even WITH a "Citation Needed" mark, it's clear fanon. Sarm3 (talk) 18:26, 1 February 2013 (UTC)

Redridge Mountains (original) deleted?

Why has the Redridge Mountains (original) article been deleted?--Adûnâi (talk) 08:39, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

It was never deleted because it never existed in the first place, this link is just a temporary one I created a few months ago because I needed to mass copypaste stuff :p Xporc (talk) 08:55, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

Pre-Cataclysm Redridge Mountains

Look at how the zone was shaped on the map before Cataclysm.

Oddlyshappedredridge.png

Not only was it oddly-shaped but this area west of the zone was inaccessible and blocked off by mountains, which is why it got removed along with several other inaccessible areas in Cataclysm. What was this area west of Redridge Mountains like before it was removed in late 2010? FenneKindleFire (talk) 19:12, 27 July 2023 (UTC)

I assume you mean east, but you can see the Eastern Kingdoms maps here, as it was. Alternatively, a friend of mine has a video where he is in the grey area just north of the one you mention. It should be fairly similar, going by the map I linked. You I've added a time stamp to the video here. PeterWind (talk) 23:29, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
