Normal vs. PvE
Technically, according to Blizzard, 'PvE' servers are actually called Normal servers, defined by its consensual PvP. I've also seen CMs call them both Normal and PvE servers, so I think that this article should specify that they are called Normal servers, and also called PvE servers. Realm Status
Does anyone know the equivalent URL for the realm status XML feeds for European servers? I've tried http://www.wow-europe.com/en/serverstatus/status.xml and a few other variations but can't seem to get it. GAThrawn 08:10, 6 December 2006 (EST)

In reply to the post above, there is actually a realm status feed for European servers. It has another syntax than the US version has. http://www.wow-europe.com/en/serverstatus/index.xml Feanathiel 10:27 PM, 31 January 2007 (GMT +1)
Time zone relation to Geographical location
I think it would be helpful if a section was added on this article explaining how time zones do not correlate to the geographical location as is done already in US realm list by datacenter.--Anthonzi (talk) 05:34, September 11, 2010 (UTC)
Updated number of servers separated by region
Hey guys
By copying and paste the list of servers from :
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/status
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/status
http://kr.battle.net/wow/ko/status
http://www.battlenet.com.cn/wow/zh/status
into Text Wrangler (a text editor) then getting a line count I get :
US realms = 246
EU realms = 267
KR realms = 23
CN realms = 344
Do we want to also denote how many Korean and Chinese realms there are ? Bluspacecow (talk) 12:08, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
Article Out of Date
Just noting that I'm adding the OOD tag to this article: there's a lot of outdated information, such as PVE/PVP realm distinctions no longer existing, sharding, CRZ and the party system have removed many barriers that originally separated realms, etc. --Tyrsenus (talk) 17:31, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for bringing this to attention. At least for starters, Sharding (term)/Layering has its own page but should definitely be mentioned on this article. — Surafbrov T / C 17:44, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
