Quel'Zaram and Quel'Sarrar? Aren't the background stories for both very different? I don't see how they could be connected. Person who wrote the speculation seems to have ingnored the fact that Medivh named the weapon, not the high elves. It either didn't have a name before that or its name was long forgotten.Baggins 06:33, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

i added the speculation from a long discussion a long time ago. the translation refers to Quel'Zaram being the Thalassian way of saying "High Blade" and Quel'serrar being the Darnassian way of saying "High Blade", not implying that it was a single sword. Quel'zaram could be the Thalasian translation of Quel'serrar, the word not an actual sword. Its unlikely that only one sword in the history of Azeroth would be refered to as the High Blade. Lothar finds the sword, Medivh desides to dub it "High Blade" in Thalassian. the word could easily already "Quel'zaram" already existed in the Thalassian language (Quel' did for sure).Warthok 00:39, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Another note just wanted to make myself clear. we know for a fact Quel'zaram means high blade in thalassian. We know Quel'serrar also means High Blade but its never specificly pointed out in which language. The Speculation here is that Quel'serrar is a Darnassian word, aided by the fact that this quest comes from the Quel'dorei in Dire Maul (Night Elves). Warthok 00:44, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
"Quel'serrar also means High Blade"
Is there something that specifically says that Quel'serrar literally means "High Blade"? If so the word should be added to the Darnassian article, and the source that confirms the translation should be cited. Otherwise its just an assumption based on name and title of the sword. Names and titles do not necessarily mean the same thing. Ashkandi, doesn't necessarilly mean "Greatsword of the Brotherhood".Baggins 17:34, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
On looking at Quel'Serrar I think you might be right, "The High Blade" is in quotes rather than just being a title like "Greatsword of the Brotherhood". Either that can denote its a nickname, or its a translation.Baggins 18:10, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Wait wait wait. - "However, this is NOT to imply that the two swords (Lothar's and the one obtainable in WoW) are one and the same." This is wikipedia and the sentence above is a speculation. We can not say whether it IS or IS NOT to imply. We just provide the fact that Quel'Serrar and Quel'Zaram mean the High Blade.--The Earl of Stormwind (talk) 16:35, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Due to Quel'serrar's origins we can determine they are not one and the same.Warthok Talk Contribs 17:27, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

"...Khadgar—magically aged by Medivh's spellwork—held Lothar's blade to the Guardian's chest, and finally ran it through Medivh's heart..." now compare: Medivh's death in Warcraft comic.jpg Quel'Zaram.JPG Quelserrar rendering.jpg At least they all seem very similar. --N'Nanz (talk) 13:18, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

I'd also like to point out that this is NOT wikipedia. We're Wikia. IconSmall Wolvar.gifBig, furry, and insane (Have a conversation with the homocidal furry!) (Come and stalk me! ...No, wait, please don't.) 13:41, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Grand Marshal

Compare this to the Grand Marshal 1H sword. At least I think they look alike. Xavius, the Satyr Lord 20:38, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
