Ghost mounts for Vale

I just want it noted that even though the change was finally documented in a hotfix list (5-22-2013), it's misleading to think it was actually implemented in said hotfix. It was pushed when the patch went live. Alayea (talk / contrib) 01:12, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

Runty crop

The sound file that is played is not specific to the runty crops in Sunsong Ranch. It is played whenever the yellow emote notfication is triggered. (source) Alayea (talk / contrib) 01:12, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

Northern Barrens zone type

I undid the following addition to the page: The Northern Barrens are listed as contested territory and colored orange, even on PvE servers. However, they still do not flag players for PvP on PvE servers. I only have low level characters so I can't test this for characters eligible for the new Battlefield: Barrens quests. If anybody can confirm that with such characters the zone is classified as Contested, then please re-add the information with the note that it only applies to such characters. I tested it with: Lv 60 Alliance on PvE realm, Lv 35 Horde on PvE realm, Lv 50 Horde on PvP realm, Lv 31 Alliance on PvP realm. All of the characters saw the zone type as is normal for the Barrens on their respective realms. Dr. Cheis (talk) 06:18, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

Players level 85 to 90 receive a contested buff while in the Northern Barrens. It will only last until the event is over when 5.4 comes out. This was done, so Horde players could not have an advantage against the Alliance on PvP servers. Since Northern Barrens is normally a Horde zone. Though you'd think with them promoting working together to rid ourselves of Garrosh, they'd have made the zone normal, rather than contested or Horde flagged. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 06:26, 26 May 2013 (UTC)
I think at this point in the story the Alliance isn't sure if they're siding with the Trolls or not. I re-added the note to read:
"Players level 85 to 90 now receive a "Contested" buff while in the Northern Barrens. This marks the zone for those players as Contested, where it would normally be "Horde" on PvP realms. It is considered Contested on PvE realms as well, but this has no effect, as it does not flag them for PvP."
That's what I'm assuming LucidFox meant, he just didn't mention the buff. Dr. Cheis (talk) 06:31, 26 May 2013 (UTC)
She. And yes, I only saw it on a level 90 character on the quest and jumped to assumptions. Thanks for clarifying it. - LucidFox (talk) 19:22, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

Darkmoon Island

I think it's been a CRZ since 5.2.0. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 04:33, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

Mana loss at switching spec

I believe that switching specs will reset the resources to zero (that is mana in case of Paladins and many spell casting specs and classes, Runic Power in case of Death Knights and Energy in case of sertain melee classes like Monks and Rogues). That exists since the implementation of dual spec and not since patch 5.3.0. I tend to disagree with the last edit and I therefore actually want to undo it. Hans Kamp (talk) 08:10, 8 June 2013 (UTC)

That was the original behavior, but for some reason it had not been doing so since patch 5.0.4. Patch 5.3 has restored the original behavior and it is now noted as such. Alayea (talk / contrib) 23:33, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Tabard of the Scarlet Crusade

According to  [Tabard of the Scarlet Crusade] and wowpedia and wowdb,

"It was removed in Patch 5.0.4, but was reintroduced to the game in Patch 5.3.0."
