From LHC to Utgarde, how did it happened?

We see the Ashbringer wielded by Fordrings at Light's Hope Chapel and after it is unexplainably in Utgarde Catacombs.. How is that possible? How did Tirion "lose" it? --N'Nanz (talk) 18:14, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Well he says "It should have been me that carried the blade. That burden was mine to bear.", so I think he gave it to Ares to ship it to Northrend. Also, this quest may have been written before the DK chain was finished.--SWM2448 18:32, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Yes, that quest and the associated event iare s still in-game. The implication is that Tirion didn't carry it himeslf because he'd be too big a target, and my guess is that the one who did carry it wound up in Utgarde for whatever reason. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 23:40, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Actually Ares (the questgiver) refers to the events in the Plaguelands and mentions he is charged with a sacred duty. Then Lord Tirion, after you turn in the quest, says he, Tirion, should have carried the blade, but apparently Irulon Trueblade talked him out of it. I'm *guessing* Ares was lost to the vrykul early on in the battle for Valgarde (where the Vrykul abducted a lot of townsfolk according to  [10-30] Rescuing the Rescuers. Perhaps we should put something about this in one or more of this article, the Ashbringer article and the Ares the Oathbound article? Berry2K (talk) 21:44, August 28, 2010 (UTC)
