Talk:Gladiator

To avoid naming races after zones, what about moving the current gladiator page to gladiator (occupation) and then having the gladiator page for the Maldraxxus race? Same with the Maldraxxi necromancer (if it turns out to be the correct name for those skeletons now associated with the Necrolord page). Although thinking about it, moving this page and category may also be quite a big task, so I don't really mind having a new Maldraxxus gladiator page and category. --HordeRace bloodelf male.jpg Mordecay (talk) 13:58, 13 June 2020 (UTC)

I have no particularly strong feelings one way or the other, but my gut feeling is that the Maldraxxus race shouldn't take priority in this case since regular gladiatorial combat is pretty widespread in Warcraft, predates Shadowlands by quite a lot, and is an important part of several important characters' storylines (Varian, Rehgar, Kargath, etc.).
EDIT: On the other hand, you could make the argument that readers who search for "gladiator" after Shadowlands launches are more likely to be looking for the race, so yeah, I dunno. I'm not opposed to either of the two solutions. -- IconSmall TrollDeathKnight Male.gif DeludedTroll (talkcontribs) 14:56, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
I think it's fine as currently, but I wouldn't oppose a change either Xporc (talk) 07:50, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
