Removed sentences

I've removed the following sentences temporarily, as they were making the article contradictory:

The gnomes have not had a proper king or queen for over four hundred years. Instead, they prefer to elect their highest officials for set terms of service.

I'm sure that description of high tinker has a source somewhere, and can be restored with citation, with a note that the in-game NPC's title contradicts the notion that a high tinker is distinct from a king.--Aeleas 20:58, 4 January 2007 (EST)

Bomb?

I have never heard of a BOMB. this information is badly cited, there is no page number and I do not remember reading this. The gnome intro speech states that they opened the valves on their grinding (referring to the gears) machines and bathed their city in radiation. Gnomeregan is steam powered and atomic power plants generate power through steam engines with radiation as the furnace. I just listened to the Intro again, it doesn't mention anything about radiation, instead it mentions dwarves helping them fight the battle to save the city, but they still lost.Baggins 23:23, 13 May 2007 (EDT)

Ok, I looked into it, the manual for WoW discusses valves on machines being opened in order to allow toxic radiation to spread around the city (although it was not clear on the exact source of the radiation). Turns out this was after the radiation bomb (atomic bombs oh my) had been detonated. The bomb released the radation, but the valves on machines, and atmospheric vents had to be opened in order to help spread the radiation around the facilities, and the entire city.Baggins 18:18, 14 May 2007 (EDT)

Friendly to Horde

I'm pretty sure Geblin isn't friendly to Horde players, since he is an Alliance boss. However, the box sais he is. I didn't edit it, becous I didn't know it for 100% sure. Yeah, he's friendly to Horde players. Possibly a bug, but then again some random Draenei flight master was friendly to Horde players too, and they hotfixed it almost instantly. Grissom (talk) 22:09, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Seven years

With all the background he was given in the last years, the part about him being High Tinker for 7 years is now impossible, is it? Xporc (talk) 08:11, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

There might be a slight little problem. Gelbin is mention nowhere. However, the Cut Short story implies he was present in the Second War so yes, we could change that as a retcon. --Ryon21 (talk) 13:37, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

It bothered me as well. However, I do see ways to interprate it/possibilities for it to be true. First off, while it sounds weird to say, I could say that Trump has been president for a year without lying. In truth, he has, while he has also been president for longer. It's a sloppy way to willingly interprate the text a bit off, without it being untrue. Seven years could also be a reference of his current high tinker term (which we currently don't know the length of) - like he has served 7 out of 15 high tinker years. The gnomes may even be using a different calender. Or he has simply been replaced as high tinker at a short duration by someone we don't know and re-elected before the Fall of Gnomeregan - which is stated to have lasted 5 years. In Chronicle 3, Gelbin was leader at least since after the fall of the internment camps, just before the Alliance begun to splinter. Either way, unless there is a book or quest somewhere in-game, there's no confirmation he was the High Tinker during the Second War. --Ryon21 (talk) 21:08, 26 June 2019 (UTC)

With the fact that he is not mentioned in Chronicle 2 at all, and that Beyond the Dark Portal, taking place one or two years after the Second War, calls him Tinker instead of High Tinker, and with the vague UVG text chronology and description that he became High Tinker after he built his inventions, it looks like that he could be made High Tinker in any year between years 9 to 17 (the latter being the Alliance splintering in Chronicle 3 that confirms him being High Tinker then), but certainly not before 9 as the current state/structure of the page says. --Mordecay (talk) 21:46, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
