Another theory?

What is the 'another theory' trying to say?--SWM2448 20:13, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Simply...
Big god fall,
big god split,
halves want army,
halves go to ancient enemies of life,
one half takes control of Ahn'Qiraj,
other (more forcefully) takes control of Azjol-Nerub,
they are trying to recreate the Aqir empire to do their bidding and conquer the world...
Baldr 00:45, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

I ment that it just repeats the first bit with less coherence.--SWM2448 01:11, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

I just clarified a half-vaugely made claim to the teroy in the paragraph before, which also stated possibilities faaaaaaar away from the theroy I wrote Baldr 04:07, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

I've redirected the discussion to the main Old Gods speculation page, for one it was larger than the factual information in this article, and two, there was a longer version of the discussion in the other other article. This limits redundancy.Baggins 22:26, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Crabs

An early datamined crab skin hints that crabs will be related to it.--SWM2448 18:13, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Wait, what about crabs and Forgotten Ones...? O.o Vulpes Wolf (talk) 17:08, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
No promises, but I recall WOWinsider having a datamined thing that included a crab skin called 'Forgotten Crab' that looked cracked, like a member of the Infinite dragonflight but blue.--SWM2448 20:33, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Faceless or Forgotten

The faceless one mobs in the old kingdom are actually called forgotten ones. I think maybe that should be mentioned in the page.--Darkling235 03:19, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

I agree. Why are there so many Forgotten Ones which look just like Faceless Ones? This is in quests and mobs. Rolandius Paladin.gif (talk - contr) 05:30, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
Maybe they belong to the same race... Like the qiraji looking totaly different --LemonBaby (talk) 17:02, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
My personal theory is that the Forgotten One in Warcraft III was a "proto-Old God idea", where it was supposed to be an Old God leading the Faceless Ones before Blizzard decided on their "overall deal". The Forgotten One's look was given to C'Thun, and the Forgotten One's role in the Faceless One army was squished under Yogg-Saron as Herald Volazj, with the Forgotten Ones placed near him to show they were the same guy(s).--SWM2448 21:11, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Naming convention

There's a Forgotten One article as well. Shouldn't they be combined? PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) 17:06, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Nop, this one is for the race (or whatever is it) called "forgotten one" while the other is for a faceless one mob. Benitoperezgaldos (talk) 17:13, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Retconned

The Forgotten One is not mentioned in Arthas: Rise of the Lich King; while the journey through Azoj'Nerub itself isn't discribed, a recap is given when they reach Icecrown. Nothing about the forgotten one is mentioned, though nerubians and possibly faceless ones are(been a little bit since I read the book). Just something to think about.Tweak the Whacked (talk) 13:08, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

An omission is not a retcon. The novel didn't mention Sapphiron either, but Arthas' battle with him still took place (as evidenced by his appearance as a WoW boss). Egrem (talk) 21:52, January 19, 2010 (UTC)

the Maw of Madness/Iso'Rath is a Forgotten one?

Basically, I think that not only the oldgods got sealed away... it's becoming clear that OTHER things are under the earth two, possibly old god spawn, or something, anyway, Iso'Rath bears a STRIKING resemblence to C'thun, and thus, to the Forgotten One, I think the Forgotten One and Iso'Rath are the same type of being >>—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shadowclasper (talk · contr).

Besides the radial symmetry, and the mouth on top (and the Old God connection, or course) there is not too much the same. However, I have little idea of what actually makes a forgotten one.--SWM2448 06:28, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
I knew the answer... but I forgot. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 06:33, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

Infobox

I do not think there is enough information for the infobox to add anything.--SWM2448 17:49, 1 April 2012 (UTC)

Well i would prefer a infobox, but that's just really my preference.--Ashbear160 (talk) 18:43, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
What does it add?--SWM2448 18:50, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
Little information, but like i said it's just my preference, you'll have to ask the one keeps adding it, why he keeps doing it.--Ashbear160 (talk) 19:08, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
Especially when hes adding nothing be assumed info. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 01:44, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
That they are members of the Old Gods' forces and so they are led by the Old Ones. That they can't use mounts and also that they are very big as can be saw since Warcraft 3. It's not a lot of information but i think that every faction, race or character article deserves an infobox, even if the box is small notably because little information is better than no information. Leave the box harms no one also. Gabrirt (talk · contributions) 20:59, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
The mount info is truly unnecessary, and speculative since there are things that are probably big enough to carry them in azeroth--Ashbear160 (talk) 21:27, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
It does not add anything but a box, and it harms the quality of the wiki. Saying that all edits are good because no one is physically wounded is asinine.--SWM2448 01:44, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
