Talk:Diseased Young Wolf

Is this going to be another Plague Outbreak, or something similar, if anyone knows? I'm pretty sure it has to mean something within the context of the Scourge, as it comes with 3.3, where you are supposed to have the final showdown with Arthas. Elofan (talk) 16:19, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

It is possible that Arthas or the Lich King tries to victimize the Humans again. In the same way he did with the Humans of the giant empire of Lordaeron! He or Deathwing is behind their disease. Hans Kamp (talk) 22:36, October 28, 2009 (UTC)
I think it's more likely this has to do with Cataclysm than the Lich King. Previously these wolves were said to have come from Redridge, but now the diseased wolves come from Duskwood. And what other wolf-like creatures come from Duskwood but the new Alliance race, the Worgen! Dr. Cheis (talk) 09:17, December 9, 2009 (UTC)
Except they don't, they come from Gilneas. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 09:55, December 9, 2009 (UTC)
Actually, what Dr.Cheis said is sort of true because the worgen were first summoned in Duskwood, so next time you try to be smart, check that you're right. Kookamooka (talk) 13:28, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
If you want to go down that line of reasoning, then the worgen were summoned in Ashenvale before they were ever summoned in Duskwood. In any case, though, the Duskwood worgen were summoned by the Scythe of Elune, while the playable worgen in Gilneas were cursed through the efforts of Arugal, who started his experiments in Silverpine Forest and never came into contact with the Scythe himself. The line of the Ashenvale/Duskwood worgen continues up in the Grizzly Hills. Next time you want to imply that I'm an idiot, I suggest you do your research as well. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 00:01, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
Grizzly Hills has Arugal's worgen, not the Scythe of Elune's worgen (even if it is hinted that the Scythe is there too).--SWM2448 00:05, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
Regardless, the Duskwood worgen are not related to the Gilneas ones. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 01:31, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
That we know of... they Scythe of Elune possibly pulls the worgen from another time and place... such as the Gilneas past or even future. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 03:19, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
Even if worgen come about like that, Arugal did not use the Scythe to do it.--SWM2448 03:53, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
Right, he might have been the original creator of the worgen race... I'm sure the Worgen's complete background will be told in cataclysm though... hopefully. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 20:57, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

I say we just blame Elune.   VainaVainamoinenJust ask! What have I been up to? 20:53, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

Merge?

should this page be merged with Young Wolf? the article is barely different; as far as i can tell these guys served the same function, appeared in the same locations, and had the same NPC ID as the non-diseased version. aside from the related quest item, the difference seems to have been purely aesthetic —Eithris (talk) 22:13, 2 September 2019 (UTC)

I'm not entirely sure, but I wouldn't be opposed to merging them. -- IconSmall TrollDeathKnight Male.gif DeludedTroll (talkcontribs) 04:44, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
