Am I the only one who noticed the half-dozen major lore reasons Deathwing's Lair can't be anywhere near Hyjal? --Ragestorm (talk · contr) 11:47, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

I think Deathwing's Lair might have been in Desolace. In the novel, The War of the Ancients, his lair is said to be located in an area that is desolate and has the feel of ancient evil. This might be near Maraudon. Rolandius (talk) 02:35, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Deathwing's Lair will be in Outland (formely Draenor), because on the old map of Draenor appears a insland with this name! (Spdhunter, the realm Ajlol-Nerub)

That was his OLD lair, and he hasn't used it in a very long time. He returned to Azeroth before the Dark Portal was sealed, and hasn't had the means to return until very recently. With the information about Cataclysm, though, we now know that when the Dark Portal DID open, Deathwing was residing in Deepholm, and that when he returns to Azeroth in the expansion he will be making his new lair in Grim Batol. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 11:01, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

Retconned?

How can something be announced to not exist and then be said to be a outdoor pvp zone? I think someone poorly phrased this or blizzard said it wrong.--Ashbear160 (talk) 22:24, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

They didn't say it never existed. They just said something along the lines of "if you look on old maps, the island we're making a PVP zone was labeled as "Deathwing's Lair." ReignTG (talk) 22:28, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

not sure novel actually conflicts with game

Isn't it possible that Deathwing fought Turalyon and co on Ashran AND fought Gruul near his lair in Death's Edge?

I think if "Death Wing fought two battles in Draenor" can't work we need a clearer explanation as to why.

If it's possible for both battles to have happened (no conflict) then we just need to figure out in what order they happened, I guess? Tycio (talk) 05:17, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
