We sure this should go? --Mordecay (talk) 23:20, 14 December 2017 (UTC)

Did they even truly exist, or were they already the Ebon Blade? Xporc (talk) 23:25, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
I think it was the Ebon Blade... but... this is a unique group.. could have broke apart after y'know the Death Knights introduction comes to an end — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 23:34, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
I think that the Ebon Blade were the Death Knights of Acherus, only that when they were free they change the name but technically they were exactly the same thing. Maybe create a section in Knights of the Ebon Blade? About the unique group... the only survivor Death Knight loyal to the Scourge create the Host of Suffering. So do we merge it or not? Xporc (talk) 10:15, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
I'm against the idea of the merge. It was a group with a name not known; and the group was most likely disbanded, divided to other groups (Ebon Blade being the major), or renamed to the Ebon Blade (although Host of Suffering is another). — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 11:14, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
Is there a single "Death knights of Acherus" NPC who didn't end up in the Knights of the Ebon Blade, besides Orbaz? Xporc (talk) 12:09, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
I agree with Suraf.
IIRC the name Ebon Blade was first used after the death knights broke free from the Lich King. UVG says that: Darion's force of rebels became the Knights of the Ebon Blade" and "...Darion pledged the death knights to destroying the Lich King, and named them the Knights of the Ebon Blade." Before that the army sent to Plaguelands were referred only to as in the second entry. --Mordecay (talk) 15:22, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
All those who were initially in the Scarlet Enclave and vanished upon the questline, like Rivendare, Razuvious, Gothik, Plaguefist, Noth, Olrun?, Orithos. --Mordecay (talk) 15:22, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
I don't believe these guys were intended to be "knights of acherus", since they were from Naxxramas and returned to Naxxramas after that. Also the fact Arthas didn't sent them to the meat grinder of Light's Hope. There were also san'layn, val'kyr, ghouls and other forces indicating it was a full Scourge assault, not just the Knights. Anyway, whatever. Xporc (talk) 15:27, 15 December 2017 (UTC)

Since people want to keep this page, shouldn't we at least rename it to Death Knights of Acherus, since it's the name of the book which lists them? Xporc (talk) 14:18, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

Agreed. --Ryon21 (talk) 15:16, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
No objection. --Mordecay (talk) 18:27, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
Agreed. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 20:52, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

Ebon Blade = Knights of Acherus

So I was exploring Stormwind when I found this book Legacy of the Masters (Part 1). The interesting part:

"In the wake of the Cataclysm, the rising tensions between the Horde and Alliance have driven the greatest heroes of Azeroth to train for war. Warriors have readied their war banners, the Death Knights of Acherus have learned to control the undead and it is even said the Mages are researching ways to undo time itself."

Does that mean that the Ebon Blade is also called Death Knights of Acherus? --Ryon21 (talk) 20:13, 3 February 2018 (UTC)

Hmm, interesting but dunno. Mages is also capitalized. --Mordecay (talk) 20:24, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
Well, the Ebon Blade are death knights, and they own Acherus... Xporc (talk) 21:03, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
Yep. So in the end we'll be merging the pages I suppose. --Ryon21 (talk) 21:06, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
I'd prefer not to, tbh. --Mordecay (talk) 21:40, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
