Talk:Boralus Harbor

Just like on Talk:Dazar'alor, "Boralus Harbor" is the faction capital for the Alliance in BfA. "Boralus" is a subzone of Tiragarde Sound, of which Boralus Harbor is a small part of. On the map, the city is "Boralus" with the Alliance district being "Tradewinds Market", which just the main part of it.--SWM2448 01:19, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

I suggest we stay as sane as possible and treat all of Boralus as a single city Xporc (talk) 21:27, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
I moved the Alliance "city" to its own little section of the bigger city in the navbox. I think it is fine as it is now, as long as we acknowledge that it is not its own zone, just its own map.--SWM2448 02:07, 20 August 2018 (UTC)

FYI, wowhead has "Boralus" as everything on the Boralus map, including the keep, Hook Point, etc. They don't consider the capital as the subzone Boralus Harbor. Honestly, it's probably better to keep it simple and to do the same thing as them. I don't think random visitors will be interested to hear about how some chat channels mark some district as not in the capital even though it is physically in Boralus or other similar non-sense. I think that might be more simple as well. We can always explain the mess in the Notes section. -- MyMindWontQuiet 22:29, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
Wowhead is in no way official. There are not that many "capital" things outside of the Harbor, though for both the Horde and Alliance cities, the target dummies are not inside the capital zone.--SWM2448 22:16, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
I'm not saying wowhead is official, i'm saying if we don't want to risk confusing visitors and becoming slowly irrelevant, we should keep it simple and call the capital simply Boralus. Of all the million of people playing wow, how many would care that it is actually Boralus harbor or Tradewinds market? Xporc (talk) 09:10, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
We just be honest with the write-ups.--SWM2448 00:33, 28 August 2018 (UTC)
It's not like it's the first time simplifications are made on wowpedia in case of conflicts. AFAIK the only time Silvermoon City is called that way is in its chat channels, every other time it's called simply "Silvermoon", including the in-game map. Yet we call it Silvermoon City. Same thing for Stormwind. There are also plenty of other times where we don't 100% follow WoW gameplay conventions, otherwise we'd have to capitalize all instances of night elf as Night Elf cause that's how they are called in the character creation tab Xporc (talk) 11:21, 28 August 2018 (UTC)
But the Harbor is a zone too. It just lacks its own map.—SWM2448 12:00, 28 August 2018 (UTC)
