Talk:Archmage Ansirem Runeweaver
Northrend
Likely to be moved to Northrend, and level-upped?--K ) (talk) 00:27, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
- I think that Blizz will do the same to him as they did to Rexxar, just replace him with a similar NPC --Pimmeh 20:29, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
- Point of note if they get rid of early Dalaran, then there really is no point for anyone to stand around and guard the area anymore, in such a dangerous location, they'd be better off moving to one of the local towns.Baggins 10:33, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- Very true...only thing they'll need to guard would be the internment camp...but then again, bliz could have it where they continue to protect those lands, because one day Dalaran will move back to where it came from and they'll want to make sure they can. Of course, in WoW Dalaran will never move back, but in lore it could. (Sssss/Slithered) 16:31, 9 January 2008 (EST)
- They may not even remove the dome. For since of continuity for the low level characters the plot should have them visiting that area around 2 years before they reach WOTK time period.Baggins 16:40, 9 January 2008 (EST)
Somehow a very "weak" succesor for the Kirin Tor, isn't he? Perhaps it will be moved with the rest of Dalaran and leveled up to catch up with the rest of the "grown up" NPCs and PCs.-- Ravenore , the Necroshadowmancer 05:26, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
I guess Blizzard forgot about him. With Rhonin mysteriously in charge and nothing changing about Ansirem, we can only speculate for now. --Timolas (talk) 12:07, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Is it possible that he was only an interim ruler, during Dalaran's reconstruction? Blackhawk003 (talk) 03:25, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
It doesn't look like they forgot about him, seeing all the things named after him and referincing him in Dalaran. Of course, some of these items actually point to him being in Dalaran while it was over Northrend, such as his diary comment that one of his students falling off the edge of the city into the tundra below. Hopefully at some point they will announce the full roster of the Council of Six, and it seems Ansirem is a likely candidate for a seat. Just as we need to see where Drenden got to. --Timolas (talk) 01:02, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Cataclysm
Any idea what's happening with him, and Archmage Cedric, in Cataclysm? Deepred (talk) 13:49, September 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Follow up: he's simply vanished off the face of the earth with no explanation, despite solid mentions in lore, and none of the new quests mention him. No sign of him in Dalaran either, and WoWHead says "location unknown", meaning he's simply been removed. A post-Cata ticket simply got the response that he's still around the ruins, which he isn't. Archmage Cedric, on the other hand, is still there in BC-era mode. Another case of game mechanics over-riding the lore. Deepred (talk) 13:29, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
Leader of the Kir in Tor
Is there a legit source that says he inherited leadership from Antonidas during the Dalaran reconstruction? The Lands of Conflict RPG doesn't count anymore. All sources point that they were leaderless and succession was officially appointed to Rhonin.(Sports72Xtrm (talk) 23:17, 12 March 2012 (UTC))
- And why does the Lands of Conflict info is not valid? The books maybe are not considered canon anymore, but that states mostly for contradictions with other media. Also, Ansirem was (is?) one of the Six, which would grant leadership of Kirin Tor to him & Modera after the destruction of Dalaran (I presume that Drenden perished then, since he doesn't appear since). Rhonin was called some time prior to WotLK events. Yes, maybe OFFICIALLY Rhonin was the successor of Antonidas, but in between the mage remnants were led by Ansirem, even if there were not much to lead.
- I think, that in this case the best idea gonna be to add Ansirem Runeweaver as a Kirin Tor/Dalaran ruler with the mark (unofficially). Dracula5 (Talk) 12:30, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
- The books are non-canon, period. Like in the case of Ansirem, there's lot of info that wasn't contradictory but became non-canon; we should just put the RPG tag somewhere in the article and state that he was the Kirin Tor's leader after the III War. And put the RPG icon in his infobox.--Cemotucu (talk) 13:37, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
Title
That's how he is named in the game, with the archmage title, as with the rest of the Six. --Mordecay (talk) 21:41, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
