Sully Balloo was a dwarven soldier with much faith in his missions, stationed in Dun Modr. He and his unit were dispatched to watch over the Thandol Span. During the Dark Iron clan assault, Sully died, most likley due to falling off the bridge. His body can now be found in the water beneath the Span, next to his letter for his wife in case of his death. After the letter is delivered, his wife Sara Balloo writes a plea to King Magni Bronzebeard, who orders Grand Mason Marblesten to build a granite memorial for him.
Inspiration
Sully Balloo, his letter and its intended recipient are references to a letter written by Union Major Sullivan Ballou to his wife Sarah, shortly before the First Battle of Bull Run in July 1861.
