  • Subtlety (3 ranks)
  • Tier 2 Restoration druid talent
  • Passive
  • Reduces the threat generated by your restoration spells by 10/20/30% and reduces the chance your helpful spells, Moonfire and Insect Swarm will be dispelled by 10/20/30%.
Properties
Class Druid

Subtlety is a talent in the second tier of the Druid Restoration tree. It reduces the threat generated by your Restoration spells and the chance your helpful and damage over time spells will be dispelled. Note that the dispel resistance does not affect [Entangling Roots], [Nature's Grasp] or [Hibernate].

Notes

  • The reduced threat is only useful in PvE combat. The dispel resistance is, with a few exceptions, mainly useful in PvP combat.
  • This talent is popular 'filler' for high level Restoration druids, as you have two points to spare after taking [Natural Shapeshifter] (which is a prerequisite for [Master Shapeshifter]) and the [Naturalist] talent doesn't improve your healing if you never cast [Healing Touch].

Patch changes

  • Cataclysm Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Removed.
  • Wrath-Logo-Small.png Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Now a 3-point talent, down from a 5-point talent. Also moved to Tier 2, up from Tier 3. Also now only reduces threat for Restoration spells, and reduces the chance that your healing over time spells (Lifebloom, Regrowth and Rejuvenation) will be dispelled, rather than all Druid spells. Threat management for Balance can now be found in the Balance tree, within Nature's Reach.
  • Bc icon.gif Patch 2.1.0 (2007-05-22): Now applies to all spells, not just healing spells.
  • Bc icon.gif Patch 2.0.1 (2006-12-05): Added.
