• Divines and marks the minimap at the location of Stygia laden areas in the Maw while the Stygia Dowser remains in your inventory.

Stygia Dowser is bought from Ve'nari in the Maw for 1,500 [Stygia] for players at an Appreciative (exalted) standing with her. It is part of the  [Bound Shadehound] acquisition.

The item allows the player to see Stygia Nexus on the minimap and loot  [Stygia Dust] and  [Stygia Sliver]. There is also a puzzle hinted at by Stygia Residue at the Altar of Domination. Following the residue leads to the Stygia Convergence.
